Forest Camps

Holistic Nature Based Learning in East Olympia

​

Come join us for outdoor adventures at Fern Gully Forest School where your child can play and make new friends, learn about the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and develop a lifelong connection with nature!

 

We have small class sizes and create a nurturing environment where children can develop the resilience, creativity, confidence, social skills and emotional intelligence needed to thrive in school and life.

 

Children get to tend the garden, care for and cuddle small animals on the mini-farm, pick huckleberries on their forest adventures and splash in the creek, among many other place-based science projects, art and fun activities.

We learn through imaginative play, science experiments, creative projects, nature observations, yoga and mindfulness practices, expressive art, singing, dancing, making music, team building games and more!​

TUITION

We believe that life is abundant and there are enough resources to go around for everyone in our community to THRIVE. Because of this, we use a sliding-scale, Three-Tiered Tuition Model, that helps those with a little extra to support families with a financial need. 

 

Thank you for your honesty and for supporting all those in our community to have access to high-quality education.

Sliding Scale:

Low-income/Regular Rate/Abundant​

Ages 3 - 6: 9am - 1pm. ​

Monthly Rates (4 hour class):

1 Day per week: $200 / $225 / $250

2 Days per week: $400 / $450 / $500 

3 Days per week: $550 / $600 / $650 

4 Days per week: $650 / $700 / $750 

5 Days per week: $750/ $800 / $850

Ages 7-12: 9:30am - 3:30pm.

​*Contact us if you want to drop-off at 9am and pick-up at 1pm (4 hour class).

MONTHLY RATES (6 hour class):

1 Day per week: $240/$260/$280

2 Days per week: $480/$500/$520 

3 Days per week: $680/$700/$720 

4 Days per week: $880/$920/$960 

5 Days per week: $960/$1020/$1060

REGISTRATION

  • Please contact us with any questions via email at ferngullyschool@gmail.com or phone at (360) 305-0021.

  • Registration fee: $50/$75/$100 (sliding scale) non-refundable fee per child for administrative costs and supplies.

  • Enrollment Deposit: $200 to enroll (applied to tuition and refundable with a 30 day cancellation notice).

  • Save your Spot: fill out the form at the button below and pay the registration fee and deposit at this link.

  • Tuition is due in full on the first day. Cash or check is preferred. 

  • Please contact us if you have any questions or cost is prohibitive. We want quality outdoor education to be accessible for all.

 

ADDITONAL DETAILS

  • Experienced teachers are First Aid and CPR certified.

  • Two programs for children ages 3 - 6 and 7-12. Mixed age ranges encourage learning empathy, leadership, kindness and collaborative skills that help kids excel in school and life!

  • Children must be comfortable using an outhouse with minimal assistance.

  • Bring a water bottle, snacks, a sack lunch, and a change of clothes and shoes.

A portion of our proceeds go to environmental conservation with the Community Nature Foundation.
