WELCOME FERN GULLY FOREST FRIENDS!
We blend Waldorf inspiration, Montessori methods, and a gentle, child-centered approach for kids 3-6 years old that supports the way children naturally grow with community care, play, and curiosity.
Our outdoor classroom, with forest, garden, and mini-farm, offers endless opportunities for hands-on exploration and meaningful connection to the natural world. Children engage in storytelling, music, art, creative expression, puppetry, and imaginative play.
Children thrive in a setting that honors natural rhythms, movement, imaginative play, and sensory discovery. We cultivate the foundation of social-emotional skills, courage, confidence, and intelligence needed to flourish in school and in life.
OUR MISSION
We were founded by a collective of mothers and professional educators with a mission to nurture the whole child in all areas of development, including physical, social, emotional and spiritual, as well as intellectual.
We cultivate a community that respects and cares for each other and the environment. We encourage a connection to the wisdom and medicine of nature that will last a lifetime and contribute to a better future.
We are so grateful to get to help kids bloom, make friends, learn important skills to thrive in life, and feel a sense of belonging and confidence to be themselves.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
The children’s day is organized into activity sessions with lunch and snacks in between. Learning includes homesteading skills, environmental education, reading and story time, interacting with and caring for animals, tending the garden, imaginative play, nature observation, social emotional skills, as well as yoga and mindfulness practices and plenty of time for artistic and musical expression.
Hours: 9 am - 1 pm or 1 - 3pm Mon - Friday.
